DSSSB Sweeper & Chowkidar Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Stage 1: Objective Test (MCQ), carrying 100 marks.
Stage 2: Interview, carrying 15 marks.

Examination duration: 120 minutes; 160 minutes for PwBD candidates.
Each MCQ carries 1 mark, with negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Minimum qualifying marks in the objective examination: 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for OBC (Delhi)/SC/ST/PH (PwBD)/ESM.
The interview carries 15 marks, and there are no minimum qualifying marks for the interview.
Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the objective examination and interview.
How to Apply for DSSSB Sweeper & Chowkidar Recruitment 2026
Visit the official DSSSB online application portal: https://dsssbonline.nic.in.
Click on “Click for New Registration” if you are registering for the first time.
Complete the registration process using valid personal details and contact information.
Log in using the user ID and password generated during registration.
Select the appropriate post code: 46/26 for Sweeper/Safai Karamchari or 47/26 for Chowkidar.
Fill out the online application form carefully with the required details.
Upload the required photograph, signature, and other documents as prescribed.
Pay the applicable application fee through SBI e-pay. Women candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, and eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the fee.
Check all entered information carefully and submit the application form before 11 November 2026, at 11:00 PM.
Download and take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
DSSSB Sweeper/Safai Karamchari & Chowkidar Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions
Applications must be submitted through online mode only; postal, hand-delivered, or email applications will not be accepted.
Once the online application form is submitted, no requests for change or correction in any particulars, including category, will be entertained.
Candidates must possess valid category certificates (OBC, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD) issued on or before the closing date of 11 November 2026. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificates must be issued on/after 01 April 2026 and up to 11 November 2026.
Only one online registration and one application per post code are permitted per candidate. Multiple submissions will lead to rejection.
Candidates must bring a printout of the exact photograph uploaded when required and follow the specified examination dress code: light clothes with half sleeves, slippers/sandals with low heels.
Candidature is entirely provisional at all stages subject to verification of eligibility by the user department.
